Just like most conventional controls for cranes, the wireless remote control also needs basic maintenance. Wireless remote controls are the easiest to operate your cranes with and also come with a simple troubleshooting process to help you manage your task efficiently. Here, we’ll describe basic steps with which you can troubleshoot your device in minimum time.

Simple check-list to fix the basic issues with wireless remote controls:

  • Examine if the battery power supply is normal.
  • Look into the battery model and installation direction to check if they are correct.
  • Check the installation direction of the battery box.
  • Investigate the battery level of the crane remote control.
  • Check if the connection between the battery box and the circuit board is open.
  • Check if the microprocessor control unit is working properly.

Below are some of the cases and the respective check-list to be followed:

The LED of the transmitter is normal, but the receiver is completely unresponsive.

  •  Confirm if the power input of the receiver is normal.
  •  Check whether the AC power fuse and DC power fuse are blown. If necessary, turn off the main power supply and replace it with a backup fuse.
  •  Check whether the relay output fuse is blown, and replace the spare fuse if necessary.
  •  Confirm that the S / N code of the receiver and transmitter match the CH channel number.
  •  Check if the quartz crystal of the transmitter is damaged or falling off.

The transmitter LED light is always on and operation keys are unresponsive

  • Do not press the “Start” key, just press “Up, down” and other operation keys. The transmitter should flash red light rapidly to indicate an error in startup mode.
  •  If the remote control of the crane is stuck, open the rear cover, remove the battery and reinstall it to solve the problem.

The individual buttons on the crane remote control do not work.

  • Confirm whether the relay output fuse is blown, and replace the spare fuse if necessary.
  • Please confirm whether the other remote-control system is working normally. If it is normal, find the original manufacturer of the machine for repair.
